Ghost Train

Jean Tinguely died in 1991 aged 66. To fittingly celebrate his 100th birthday, Museum Tinguely has decided to realize a new, challenging art project. In memory of Tinguely’s Crocodrome de Zig et Puce, developed in 1977 as a kind of ghost train for the Pompidou Centre, the museum will cooperate with selected artists to create a ghost train of its own in Solitude Park. Work on the installation will begin in March, opening to visitors on 22 May 2025. The project pays tribute to this fascinating Swiss artist and the unique imaginative universe that makes him a key figure in the art of the period since 1950.
