Jean Tinguely loved the ephemeral: sounds, shadows, fireworks, smoke, water and smells. Here, smells take control and invite visitors to experience the artworks via an added sensory dimension, approaching them in a different way.


Having taken a test to discover your smelling style, you’ll be given ideas for your own personal museum tour with the sniffing kit. Smells activate memories and stimulate the imagination. Who dares to think in unusual ways? How might smells influence a museum visit?


This tour is recommended for inquisitive visitors of ten years and over.

Let chance guide you to different works in the museum and encounter a multitude of interesting questions.

Tinguely ausgeschnitten

The new parcours through the collection is aimed at all curious visitors aged 6 and over. In order to explore the works of art on your own and in a playful way, there is a leaflet to inspire young and old. Throw the dice, draw a card, toss a coin - chance leads to new discoveries and provides thought-provoking impulses for a lively visit to the museum. As in art, there is no right or wrong, only new ideas to look at Tinguely's works from a different angle every time. Have fun!
