The fantastic Colin Vallon Trio captivates listeners with its new album «Samares». Samares (“samara” in English) is a term used to describe tree seeds with wings that fly down, germinate and grow into new trees nearby.
The Colin Vallon Trio is also known for making its melodies dance in the air, taking unexpected turns and sometimes being carried away in a stormy burst of energy. The trio combines the strong personalities of its musicians to create a concentrated and captivating atmosphere of sound, tranquility and rhythm. It weaves a dense canopy of touching melodies with a rhythmic trunk held in place by deep roots. The limbs branch out into the finest flowering shoots – sometimes gently, sometimes with more power. This music glows in a warm light that casts long shadows.
