Physics meets Music and Visual Arts: Concert as part of the Basel Infinity Festival.

The "Basel Infinity Festival" and the National Centre of Competence in Research "NCCR Spin" (Physics Department, University of Basel) proudly present a cross-disciplinary and innovative pioneering project: Physics meets Music and Visual Arts! Physicists present to the audience selected topics from cutting-edge quantum physics research around quantum computers and "spin qubits". The up-and-coming Latvian composer Linda Leimane is inspired by the poetry of physics and transforms mysterious expressions from research such as entanglement, superposition, coherence or noise into music. The Latvian visual artist Artūrs Punte adds additional and harmonious points of light.

At the subsequent Apéro Riche (included in the ticket price), physicists will mingle with the audience and look forward to answering questions about quantum physics.

The event will be opened with an address by the President of the Cantonal Government Beat Jans.
